Description The Title Clerk plays a key role in ensuring all vehicle sales are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with state and federal regulations. This position supports the dealership’s sales and finance teams by managing title documentation, maintaining records, and delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Process all new and used vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation Verify accuracy of sales contracts, lien information, and tax/fee calculations Submit title work to the appropriate state agencies within required timeframes Maintain detailed records of all title transactions and follow up on outstanding items Communicate with customers, lenders, and state agencies to resolve title issues Reconcile schedules related to titles, registrations, and dealer plates Support the accounting office with administrative tasks as needed Ensure compliance with dealership policies and state regulations Requirements Previous experience as a Title Clerk or in automotive dealership administration preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Familiarity with state title and registration requirements Proficiency with dealership management systems (Reynolds and Reynolds) and Microsoft Office Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines High school diploma or equivalent required
