Rate of Pay: TBD for the 2025-2026 school year. Currently $16.07 per hour
Schedule: Follows the board approved school calendar

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma/equivalent;
  • Associates Degree or pass paraprofessional skills testing prior to employment;
  • Experience working with children;
  • Clerical skills (Typing, filing, computer knowledge preferred);
  • Successful completion of Oregon School based fingerprinting and criminal history verification as deemed by State of Oregon legislation.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree or pass paraprofessional skills test prior to employment; or High school graduate/GED and pass paraprofessional skills test prior to employment. Computer skills including knowledge of Excel, SchoolMaster, Word and ability to learn new programs Fluent written and verbal skills in Spanish and English Proven organization skills
    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before staff
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITITES: Knowledge of office practices and procedures; Office machine and basic computer application skills required; Ability to learn new computer application skills and apply them to the job; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other employees, supervisors, students and the public; Ability to work on more than one project at a time with interruptions; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies; Ability to adapt to situations quickly.

Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the classroom teacher, Title I Specialist and Title I Supervisor assist students with instructional material;
  • Under the direction of the classroom teacher, Title I Specialist and Title I Supervisor, work with small groups of students to reinforce students’ classroom program;
  • Clerical and record keeping tasks necessary to support the Title I Program;
  • Assist with student supervision and duties as assigned;
  • Assist with Finishing School as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
