In this role you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting supporting our Title team in a variety of ways that could include performing title examinations, analyzing various data points, verifying key information, and collaborating with customers, attorneys, and lenders. This position plays a key role in making the dream of home ownership a reality. In this role, you will exhibit analytical, strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. The Title Officer is responsible for effectively reviewing and evaluating title documents to determine condition of title and assisting to resolve issues prior to closing.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers, attorneys, and lenders to resolve issues impacting title insurability prior to closing
  • Perform title examination to examine the chain of title for a wide range of title orders, both residential and commercial
  • Analyze various records, such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, plat and map books, and property surveys to determine ownership and legal restrictions
  • Create and revise title commitment as necessary
  • Create and complete policies as necessary
  • Verify title insurance rates and coverage provided on the title commitment are given in accordance with instructions received by the insured parties of the transaction and in accordance with guidelines
  • Review, analyze and approve a variety of documentation to determine condition of title including but not limited to deeds, surveys, operating agreements, trusts, wills, affidavits of heirships, corporate resolutions, and partnership agreements
