Responsibilities

ROLE:

Responsible for managing, verifying, and processing legal documents related to vehicle, real estate, or business titles. Their role ensures that titles are legally accurate, compliant with regulations, and properly transferred between parties. Provide quality service to members while servicing predominantly consumer loans but may include mortgage and commercial loans. Process new and renewed loan file reviews, file scanning, responses to loan inquiries.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining vehicle title tracking program, including assisting credit grantors with their individual title tracking efforts and mailing reminder letters to customers with unperfected titles.
  • Research, resolve and respond to member disputes. Write correspondence to loan members as needed.
  • Assist members with title perfection process and other subsequent actions as requested by a member.
  • Maintain current files of each state’s DMV recording rules, requirements, fees, and forms.
  • Responsible for processing member transaction requests by telephone and in person in a professional, prompt and efficient manner.
  • Provide loan payoffs, and loan rates to members, process loan payoffs, prepare lien releases, and deliver titles to Register of Deeds for recording and releasing of liens.
  • Review loan files to ensure complete documentation according to company and regulatory standards. Follows up on exceptions to complete the file. Audit set-up of loans on the loan servicing system.
  • Ancillary product processing and remittance.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit preparations.
  • Coordinates update of department procedure manual.
  • Responsible for maintenance and security of title and balancing insurance and UCC general ledgers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
    Experience: Experience in title processing required. Experience in loan operations, processing, underwriting and experience working with loan servicing data processing systems a plus.
    Education/ Certifications/ Licenses: High school degree or GED required.
    Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communications skills even under stressful deadlines.
    Other Skills: Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Windows and Excel.
