Job Description ThThe Technical Market Development Manager plays a pivotal role in translating Syngenta’s technical excellence into field-level impact by driving high-quality demonstrations, strengthening stakeholder confidence, and enabling successful product adoption. This position ensures the effective transfer of agronomic & product technical knowledge through robust technical training, credible field insights, and strong engagement with growers, government bodies, academia, and value chain. By leading digital innovation, supporting product launches, and maintaining superior technical standards, the role enhances customer satisfaction, accelerates market development, and builds the technical capability of internal teams. Ultimately, the position ensures that Syngenta’s solutions deliver measurable value to growers while supporting sustainable business growth. Field Demonstration Excellence: Execute reasons to believe demonstrations on the basis of brand model message Confidence building activities through "Seeing is Believing" concept for stakeholders Maintain demonstration plots as centers of excellence PLT Excellence Proactive engagement in portfolio leadership meetings. Provide practical & knowledge-based inputs in future portfolio development. Stakeholder Engagement Build and nurture relationships with: Government agricultural officials Academic & research institutions Sugar mill management and staff Value chain partners Technical Training and Development Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on: Crop husbandry practices Application technology Product profiles and positioning Enhance internal team's technical knowledge Share best practices and success stories across regions NPI Launches and Events Support successful product launches Organize impactful farmer seminars Manage High-Profile Farmer Meeting events Coordinate Learning & Development Center activities Technical Support and Problem Resolution Provide expert technical guidance Handle product-related complaints professionally Implement effective resolution strategies People development Coaching & Mentoring to team Identifies high-potential team members and creates opportunities for their leadership development Develop Clear Goal Setting (SMART Objectives) by setting transparent performance KPIs Drives a culture of discipline, excellence, and continuous improvement in team Budget Management Develop and manage the annual TMD budget aligned with crop strategy, portfolio priorities, and market needs Bring efficiency & productivity to TMD activities. Ensure all TMD expenditures strictly follow Syngenta financial policies & compliance standards Collaborate with procurement for cost-efficient sourcing of inputs, equipment, and services required for demo and trial execution.
