Description

Classification: Materials Grade: 2 FLSA: Non-Exempt General Summary: Support Precision Coils objectives by striving to continually meet or exceed company on-time shipping goals by providing timely distribution of materials/parts to the various manufacturing areas. Ensure that inventory accuracy goals are met and maintained. Support all plant operations by ensuring materials are received and accurately stored/distributed as needed. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Unload/Receive/Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries. * Replenish inventory and ensure the stock levels are kept at appropriate levels at various locations within the facility. * Label parts appropriately and utilize FIFO inventory management * Coordinate with materials team, management, and stockroom as required * Document and escalate any OS&D to Materials Supervisor or Buyer * Ability to identify parts, count parts, and document counts in performing cycle count activities as requested * Record/Report scrap from the production area and prepare it for shipment to recycle * Maintain KanBan inventory system throughout the facility * Maintain 5S standards within the stockroom * Assist with month end cycle counts Physical Requirements: * Walk and stand on your feet majority of the shift * Pushing/pulling cart * Pulling loaded pallet jack * Lifting boxes, crates, etc. * Forklift licensed and trained * Lift 50lbs at 10% frequency level using a proper lifting technique * Walk up and down a ladder carrying box or bags to put on shelves or remove from shelves Job Qualifications: * Must be certified and proficient on a sit-down and standup lift * Experience in receiving/stockroom/inventory control is preferred * Ability to perform in a team environment and also be self-directed as situations dictate * Lift 50lbs at a 10% frequency level * SAP knowledge is a plus * Work independently with minimal instructions * Good communication skills.
