About the Role: The 'To Go' position is centered around efficiently managing and fulfilling customer orders for takeout and delivery services within a fast-paced environment. The primary goal is to ensure that all orders are accurately prepared, packaged, and ready for timely pickup or delivery, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires close coordination with kitchen staff, delivery personnel, and front-of-house teams to streamline operations and minimize wait times. Additionally, the position involves handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues related to orders with professionalism and care. Ultimately, the 'To Go' team member plays a vital role in enhancing the overall customer experience by delivering prompt and precise service that supports the business's reputation and growth. Minimum Qualifications: * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members. * Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience in a food service or retail environment. * Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. * Customer service training or experience. * Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed. Responsibilities: * Receive and process takeout and delivery orders accurately. * Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on schedule. * Package food items securely to maintain quality and temperature during transport. * Communicate effectively with customers regarding order status, pickup times, and any special requests. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the 'To Go' area to comply with health and safety standards. * Assist delivery drivers with order handoff and documentation as needed. * Handle customer concerns or complaints promptly and escalate issues when necessary. * When there is a lower volume of to-go orders, help servers with preparing and running their food. Skills: The required skills such as effective communication and multitasking are essential for managing customer orders and coordinating with kitchen and delivery teams efficiently. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems enables the employee to process orders accurately and update statuses in real time.
