Description Location: The Pillars Christian Learning Centers – Rowlett, TX Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. About Us At The Pillars Christian Learning Centers, we partner with families to provide exceptional childcare, education, and development that is rooted in the Christian faith. Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and nurturing individual to serve as a Toddler Teacher. Classroom Duties Guide and encourage students with daily activities, transitions, and supervision. Plan with games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and other learning experiences. Help maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing classroom environment. Provide age-appropriate care, including feeding, dressing, and diapering. Support children’s hygiene and healthy habits through modeling and instruction. Build respectful, caring relationships with children and staff. Qualifications Experience working with young children preferred. Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and age groups. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to Christian values and early childhood education. Work Environment & Physical Demands An active preschool setting with frequent interaction with children. Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, and lift to 40 lbs. Visual acuity required for driving and classroom supervision. Requirements Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Meet HHS minimum education and experience requirements Preferred Education and Experience Prior teaching experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications Meet minimum age, education, background check and medical qualifications for caregivers established by DFPS Licensing Complete annual training required by DFPS Licensing Maintain Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certifications Transporting children, a Class C driver's license with a clear Department of Public Safety record, and two hours of transportation training annually is required.

Responsibilities

The Toddler Lead Teacher will guide and encourage students with daily activities and transitions while maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment. They will plan engaging learning experiences and build respectful relationships with children and staff.
