Kendall Academy Preschool is looking for a Teacher Floater to join our team. Job Summary: The Floater Teacher is responsible for implementing classroom activities either in the absence of a teacher and/or co-teacher or on a daily basis, as needed. The Floater Teacher will aid in the implementation of the daily schedule and routine, developing nurturing relationships, and ensuring the safety, security, and supervision of children. In addition, the Floater is expected to assist in keeping the classroom clean and organized, helping maintain a positive and productive learning environment. This role also includes assisting the housekeeping crew with some cleaning duties as needed to help maintain a clean and safe school environment. Preschool Overview: Our goal at Kendall Academy Preschool Center is to develop a safe educational environment that instills a desire to learn while delivering a tailored learning approach. Job Duties: Use daily classroom activities assigned by the teacher and routines as opportunities to promote children’s social, emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development. Be on time every day with good attendance. Provide a nurturing and positive environment for all students. Maintain consistent supervision of all students. Work as part of an educational team to provide a safe and welcoming environment. Assist teachers in the implementation of a structured classroom environment during children's lunch and nap time by following classroom policies and procedures to always ensure the safety of the students. Assist in cleaning the classroom and maintaining it in an organized, tidy condition throughout the day. Always maintain required teacher-child ratios in the classroom. Report all staffing and classroom concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner. Qualifications: High school diploma or higher Have a 45-hour certificate or CDA or higher.
