Gerflor USA is looking for a positive, detail oriented, team player to join our team and take advantage of this exciting opportunity! The Tool & Die Apprentice will learn and assist in the building, maintenance, and repair of injection molds under the guidance of experienced Tool & Die Makers. This role focuses on developing foundational skills in machining, mold repair, inspection, and documentation while supporting Production, Maintenance, and R&D teams. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience with welding, brazing, machining processes, and mold teardown/assembly, while learning to interpret drawings and follow standard procedures. Your Day to Day Assist with preventive maintenance and basic repairs on injection molds Support disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and reassembly of tooling Learn to identify molding issues and assist in basic troubleshooting Assist in machining and restoring mold components to required specifications Help perform teardown, cleaning, and inspection of mold components Learn to measure and document repairs and modifications accurately Assist in building and fitting parts under supervision Support tool corrections and learn to interpret drawings and specifications Assist engineering team with documentation and CAD-related tasks as needed Maintain clean and organized work areas (housekeeping duties) What We Would Love About You High School Diploma or equivalent required Familiar with mechanical tools, machining concepts, or manufacturing environments Some experience (academic, technical training, or hands-on) in machining, tool & die, or related field preferred Familiar with or exposure to injection molding concepts is a plus Basic familiarity with machine shop equipment such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, or CNC equipment (training provided) What You Would Love About Us We offer GREAT benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability Insurances - even Pet Insurance! 401K with generous company match Paid Time Off + Company paid Holidays Service Awards, Birthday recognition Financial wellness planning (Employer paid!)
