JOB OPPORTUNITY: TOOL AND DIE DESIGNER / PROJECT MANAGER
Please be advised that this position is for a Tool and Die designer with practice experience of 5 years or more. You must be able to design complete a metal stamping die from a process. School experience does not qualify you for this position Applicants that have not attained practical experience will be automatically deleted.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a self-sufficient and motivated Tool and Die Designer to join our team. This multifaceted role involves various responsibilities, including:
Designing progressive, line, and transfer stamping dies to customer standards.
Conducting reverse engineering of 3D scanned components.
Utilizing Dynaform for FEA analysis on stamped components.
Establishing manufacturing processes for stamped components.
Holding review meetings for process and die designs and implementing necessary changes.
Providing engineering support to the tool room, customers, and vendors.
Updating detail and assembly drawings and creating component drawings for new or existing products.
Act as a liaison between customers, suppliers, and management.
Project managing die and other small projects
Plan and layout job assignments, determining the sequence of machining operations.
Manage logistics including setup trucking and organizing transportation of products.
Ensure job management to meet quoted costs, times, and customer expectations.
Provide a smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
Prepare and submit quotes for minor jobs.
Input data into company databases and job trackers.
Meet with customers and team members to understand project requirements.
Monitor project status and adherence to schedules.
Maintain accurate records during the development process.
Coordinate and implement quality loops as required.
Ensure final versions of tooling and supporting materials are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years of experience with progressive & line dies.
Must have the ability to project manage
Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in CAD systems and die designs
Familiarity with Cimatron Die Designing software is advantageous.
Ability to prepare process layouts for new metal stamping parts.
Understanding of calculating flat blanks from final part requirements.
Knowledge of die manufacturing processes and tool steel grades.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
