We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating manual machine tools to produce precision parts and components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to specifications. Key Responsibilities Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools to produce metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications Set up and calibrate machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety procedures are followed Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on manual machinery to ensure optimal performance Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes Skills and Qualifications Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in operating manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and measurement tools Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and work orders Excellent attention to detail and precision in machining tasks Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in machine operation Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is preferred Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience in die making Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications Experience using hand and power tools to shape, cut, and finish dies Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Day shift schedule Career growth and advancement opportunities Stable, family-owned company culture Join our team and become part of a company that values craftsmanship, innovation, and continuous improvement.
