What You’ll Be Doing:

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan sequences of machining and fabrication.
• Set up and operate lathes, grinders, milling machines, and other manual/CNC equipment to create and refine precision parts.
• Perform grinding, lathing, drilling, and polishing to exact specifications and finishes.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and tolerances of completed parts with precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, etc.).
• Fit, assemble, and repair dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and tools to ensure flawless production performance.
• Conduct test runs, make adjustments, and fine-tune parts to achieve exact standards.
• Select and work with a wide range of metals and alloys, ensuring durability and reliability.
• Mentor apprentices when needed, passing on skills to the next generation of makers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment—safety and precision always come first
