JOB SUMMARY:

The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining production tooling and dies. This role ensures all tools are functional and available to meet manufacturing demands. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with new tool builds and maintaining production tooling in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent. 100% on-site.
Job Location: 20–25 minutes west of Markham, ON.
Compensation Structure: $35–$38 per hour + benefits + RRSP match up to 3% after 6 months of employment & 5% after 1 year with the company.
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Tool and Die Maker or equivalent trade certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tool and die, including new tool builds in the automotive manufacturing industry
• Strong mechanical aptitude and machining skills (CNC, grinding, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment

• Build new tools and dies to support production requirements
• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot existing tooling
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Ensure tools meet dimensional and quality standards
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance
• Operate and maintain tool room equipment safely and efficiently
• Document tooling changes and maintenance records
