The Boeing Company is currently seeking a local hire Tool Coordinator to support Boeing Global Services in Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait. This position is part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) C-17 aircraft based at Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait. Applicant will participate in Tool Control and Equipment Management, inspections, and HAZ waste management associated with day-to-day operations of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet KAF mission requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5 Years/experience of tool storage or inventory management (preferably in an aerospace environment)
  • Ability to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country
  • Ability to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable
  • The employment will be contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country which includes a criminal record check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Knowledge of tool control, TCMax tool control program and tool room processes.

TYPICAL EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Responsibilities
  • English is the primary language of the KAF community on the airbase in Kuwait. All technical data to perform the tasks and training are in English. Competency in reading, comprehension and speaking the English language is necessary.
  • Knowledge of AFI 21-101 tool control procedures and tool room processes.
  • Knowledge of TCMax tool control program.
  • Assist project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to SE maintenance, modifications, calibration, proof load test, bench test and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul of C-17 support equipment.
  • Performs a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents.
  • Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required. Trains and resolves problems for less experienced technicians.
  • Maintain database records for equipment status and spare part demands.
  • Reviews on-hand inventory, order spares and coordinates re-distribution.
  • Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
  • Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
  • Provides training and mentors others.
  • Works under general direction.
