Description Qualifications: • Ability to use measuring tools • Ability to detect tool wear. • Ability to learn skills when no experience exists. Duties & expectations: • Receives, stores and issues fixtures, machine tools, etc., and maintains records of tools issued and returned • Prepare tools and tool holders from tool sheet. • Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment • Maintain tool crib in clean, orderly and well-maintained condition. • Assesses tools as needed for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer and reports damage or wear to supervisor. • Ensure tools and fixtures are kept in good condition. • Follow nonconforming process when needed. • Identify when applicable, continuous improvement of processes and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS. • Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to immediate supervisor for particular machine or project. • Ensure that our FOD program is being adhered to. • Handle tools and fixtures in a way that will not cause damage or compromise integrity. • In the event of lack of work or another department needing assistance, may be asked to do any of the following but not limited to: Cleaning, Operator, Manual Machining, In-process inspection of ongoing production parts. • Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality. • Keep clean and organized work area. • Willing to work in a team environment. • Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics
