JOB SUMMARY:

The Water Spider is responsible for supporting machine operators by ensuring they have the correct tooling, materials, and gauges at all times. This role focuses on quickly gathering and delivering these items, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and keeping work areas organized. The Water Spider does not perform any tooling setup duties but works closely with production and inventory teams to prevent downtime and maintain a smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and deliver necessary tools, materials, and gauges to machinists.
  • Monitor and restock inventory levels to prevent shortages.
  • Maintain organized storage areas and promptly return unused items.
  • Communicate with production staff to anticipate upcoming needs.
  • Follow all safety protocols and keep the work environment clean and hazard-free.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift and move tooling and materials as needed.
