Job Title: Tool Crib Assistant
Location: St. Charles, MO 63303
The Tool Crib Attendant will support tool crib operations and purchasing agent. The individual is also responsible for maintaining inventory control in the tool crib and overall organization of the work area.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally list 50 lbs., infrequently lift 70 lbs.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to relate well with a variety of personality types.
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task and proven ability to manage time.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent record keeping skills
  • Ability to understand business needs and objective
  • Ability to drive forklift preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Entry Level
  • 2+ years’ experience in a tool crib environment or a similar inventory or purchasing position
Responsibilities
  • Receive, store, and issue items
  • Maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using the computer.
  • Assist inventory cycle count and inform purchasing agent of out of stock items to be replenished
  • Complete receiving paperwork and deliver it to purchasing and accounting departments.
  • Retrieve deliveries (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.), unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment
  • Place items to proper coded storage locations
  • Prepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer.
  • Prepare layout of needed materials, parts and equipment.
  • May mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.
  • Distribute supplies to designated employees
  • Assist purchasing agent as needed
