How You’ll Make an Impact: The Tool Crib Specialist is responsible for the efficient operation of the tool crib, managing the purchasing, receiving, storage, issuance, and tracking of tooling, gauges, fixtures, and consumables. This role supports manufacturing and engineering teams by maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring proper tool calibration, coordinating with vendors, and sustaining tooling management systems that uphold production readiness and quality standards. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, ERP experience, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, all without direct supervisory duties. What you’ll be doing as a Tool Crib Attendant: * Working a full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location. Tool Crib Operations & Inventory Management * Receive, inspect, store, issue, and track tooling, gages, fixtures, and expendables. * Maintainaccurateinventory records through cycle counts, usage logs, and ERP system updates. * Organize the tool crib to ensure orderly and accessible storage following 5S principles. * Dispose of damaged or defective tooling per established protocols or coordinate returns to vendors. * Manage job charging and downtime records, collaborating with Manufacturing and HR teams on corrections or training as needed. Purchasing & Vendor Relations * Procure tooling, equipment, and suppliesrequiredfor ongoing operations. * Monitor stock levels and perform spot buys or source new vendors when necessary. * Track shipments, follow up on delays or undelivered goods, andmaintainpurchasing records. * Review catalogs and consult internal departments toidentifytool and supply needs. Calibration & Tool Management Systems * Manage gage calibration schedules and ensure all toolscomply withcalibration standards. * Maintaingagetool databases and certification records. * Coordinate internal and external maintenance or repair activities related to tooling. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement * Partner with machinists, engineers, and production personnel to ensure tooling availability and accuracy. * Support updates to manufacturing standards and tooling procedures. * Participate in lean initiatives and suggest process improvements related to tooling and inventory management. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications (Education, skills and experience): * 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing tool room, tool crib, or CNC machining support role. * Familiarity with cutting tools, gages, fixturing, and machine tool components. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). * Comfortable reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings. * Knowledge of calibration systems, gage tracking, and tool life management. Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills and experience): * Background in aerospace, precision machining, or high-mix/low-volume production. * Experience with MRP/ERP platforms (e.g.,JobBOSS, Epicor, or similar). * Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S tool room practices. * Technical certification in manufacturing technology, machining, or industrial maintenance. * Experience communicating with vendors and supporting tooling procurement. * Experience training others or supporting onboarding in tooling procedures Compensation and Benefits: * Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage. * Choice of medical plan options, including a no-cost employee-only coverage plan * HSA-eligible health planwith employer contributions * Basic and supplemental life insurance * Long-term disability coverage * 401(k) plan with up to a 6% QACA company match * Paid time off including vacation, sick time, and nine (9) paid company holidays * Shift differentials for applicableoff-shifts * Discretionary bonus programs based on position and company performance The Tool Crib Attendant Compensation range for onsite Washington applicants is $20-26 commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
