Leadership responsibilities include scheduling, coaching, counseling, and communicating job expectations. The Lead also assists the Tool Room Supervisor to meet financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitor expenditures, identify variances and implement corrective actions.    Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications: Technical degree in Machining, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field Two (2) years’ experience in process improvement Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of Forming principles Knowledge of IFI standards Experience in Team Development Technically proficient in mechanical machining aspects Experience working with vendors, part suppliers and machine distributors   Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.  Candidates must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.   Nucor is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer – M/F/Disabled/Vets – and a drug – free workplace
