Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: NC Manufacturing - OXFORD, NC 27565 Position Type: Full Time Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: 1st Shift Job Category: Manufacturing IDEAL Fastener Corporation is NOW HIRING for Full-Time Tool & Die Makers/CNC Machinist! >> 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM >> Monday - Thursday, Possible Occasional Friday's Responsibilities & Duties: Operate special and standard machine shop equipment (milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, CNC, Wire EDM, etc.) to produce new parts, prototype tooling, assembly machine parts and repair tooling for general plant requirements. Uses various types of gauging and measuring instruments in order to check and dimensionally verify the part being used. Analyze molds/machine parts for potential problems. Troubleshoot and fit tooling. Work to very close tolerances. Education & Requirements: Experience with all/any of the following strongly preferred: ProtoTRAK milling machines, CAMWorks software, SolidWorks, ESPRIT CAM / Mitsubishi Wire EDM CNC - CAD/CAM experience preferred 2 years technical training or 3 years of relevant experience is required. Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology is a plus. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to read and interpret schematics. Excellent math skills and good communication skills. Machine shop / tool room skills & experience.
Responsibilities
The Tool & Die Maker/CNC Machinist will operate various machine shop equipment to produce parts and tooling, as well as troubleshoot and repair tooling as needed. The role requires working to very close tolerances and analyzing machine parts for potential issues.
