This role is critical to production—building, repairing, and maintaining precision tooling used in manufacturing. Selling Points High-paying skilled trade role in a union shop with long-term stability. You’re not just running parts—you’re building and troubleshooting precision tooling that keeps production running. Strong hourly rates up to $29.50/hr, multiple shift options, and consistent work. What You’ll Do Build, repair, and maintain dies and tooling Work with tight tolerances (.0005 precision) Operate CNC and manual machines (milling, grinding, turning) Perform die assembly, fitting, and troubleshooting Diagnose tooling issues and make necessary adjustments Maintain equipment and follow shop procedures Class A handles complex tooling and may train others. Class B focuses on routine work.
