Description
The Production Supervisor- Tool & Die position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Production Supervisors are: Resilient Detail oriented Ambitious Demonstrate high integrity Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coach problem resolution to the lowest level Build Team Leader and Team Member capability Coordinate and schedule manpower and materials to meet maintenance requirements to minimize down time Responsible for monitoring day-to-day production processes, Draw panel formability, last hit process, contamination investigation Assist and teach die maintenance troubleshooting techniques to improve mean time between failure and mean time to repair Ensure start-up readiness for production Performs other related duties. Established and active employee resource groups Ability to coordinate major and minor die repairs High School Diploma or GED Journeyman Die Maker Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations Bachelor's Degree 3-5 years automotive experience Body shop/stamping/subassembly experience preferred Safety and quality experience Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles Knowledge of constraint management principles Prior experience managing a unionized work force.
Responsibilities
