Description Our growing machining department is looking for a skilled machinist to join our team to serve our machining and stamping departments; position will be in a fast paced job shop environment. Ideal candidates have strong CNC set-up skills, on the job experience as a tool maker and a solid foundation of programming experience with a desire to grow this skill set. Position Responsible for: Completing all new or repeat set-ups, including tooling/fixture selection Machining operations for both routine parts or those with very close/intricate print tolerances, high end/aesthetic finishes Assist with design/development of new programs from scratch, in both 2D and 3D applications proving out new parts Actively assist in leading part/process improvements for profitability: improved cycle times, tooling life, quality, general efficiencies Read/interpret part prints and complete all quality processes as required per part Assist in secondary part production operations as needed to support workload/customer demand Assist in routine daily machine & cell maintenance Starting pay will be based on prior related set-up/programming experience Requirements Preferred & Required Qualifications: 2 or more years prior experience setting up, operating, troubleshooting CNC milling or turning equipment. Previous experience machining components/features for a stamping dies preferred. Strong knowledge of machining principles, best practices, and tooling applications Advanced blueprint reading ability, including some GD&T interpretation Strong set-up and troubleshooting skills, working knowledge of G&M Codes Some prior experience creating/proving out new part programs from scratch required; desire to learn 3D programming applications Ability to lift raw material or finished goods up to 40 pounds, handle regular repetitive movements required in operations or material/part handling Able to stand for up to 8-10 hours per day with minimal break periods, and sit or walk as needed
