About the Role: As a Tool Maker, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by designing, constructing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and molds used in production. Your expertise will ensure that these tools meet exact specifications and function efficiently to support high-quality manufacturing output. You will collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to interpret technical drawings and translate them into functional tools. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of materials and machining techniques to produce durable and reliable tools. Ultimately, your work will directly impact the quality, efficiency, and safety of the manufacturing operations within the organization. Minimum Qualifications: * Technical degree in machine tool or tool and die * Successful completion of an apprentice program with a licensed professional or established * Experience working as a tool and die maker. Preferred Qualifications: * In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their uses. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics. * Extensive experience with metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes. * Ability to lift heavy objects and operate large machinery. * Experience with quality control analysis. * Excellent attention to detail. * Advanced troubleshooting skills. * Ability to solve practical problems * Ability to work with minimal supervision Responsibilities: * Reading and interpreting blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings. * Visualizing and computing metal shapes and tolerances. * Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts. * Measuring and marking metal stock for machining. * Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines. * Cutting and shaping blocks to specified dimensions. * Filling, grinding, and shimming metals to ensure a smooth finish. * Fitting and assembling tools and die parts. * Inspecting finished dies and tools for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities. * Conducting test runs with completed tools and dies. * Performs other related duties assigned.
