JOB SUMMARY

CNC Recruitment is seeking Tool Room Engineer to join our client in Crewkerne area - a prestigious engineering company. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to work within a professional and innovative environment.
As a Tool Room Machinist, you will be working in close collaboration with the Toolroom Manager, responsible for modifying Injection and Compression moulding tools. This role is focused on the machining of mouldings, ensuring tools are maintained, repaired, and modified to meet the company’s exacting standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Tool Maker, ideally within the Injection and Compression moulding sector.
  • Proficiency with CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and materials used in mould-making.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in a Toolroom or precision engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard health and safety regulations.
    Please note - Working hours are Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 6pm with half an hour lunch break plus two 15-minute breaks.
    There would also be some overtime on Fridays.

Responsibilities:

  • Modify, repair, and maintain Injection and Compression moulding tools.
  • Operate and manage various CNC and manual machining equipment in a Toolroom environment.
  • Work closely with the Toolroom Manager to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce high-precision tooling components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any tooling-related issues that may arise during production.
  • Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and quality control processes.
