Description

Join our Tool Room, Facilities and Mouldshop department as a Tool Room Machinist in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.
We are looking for a Tool Room Engineer to join the Tool Room, Facilities and Mould Shop department at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to all areas of Production and Mould Shop, set up and operate equipment including CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Grinders and tool room machining equipment.
The team consists of 4 (now 2 with an apprentice) professionals, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.
This position is available full time on a fixed – term period until the end of February 2026 and based on site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30 – 16.30 and Friday 7.30 – 12.30.
Our site in Stonehouse site is a manufacturer of plastic components and single – use products, such as lab scale bioreactors and filtration.

Responsibilities
  • On a daily basis you will be maintaining injection mould tooling
  • You will manufacture and fit quality parts for production jigs, fixtures and tooling
  • You will inspect parts visually or using appropriate measuring tools
  • You will perform applicable tool, jig and fixtures repair and maintenance – both preventative and responsive
  • You will ensure the quality of work is within the required standards and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • You will develop and work with preventative maintenance schedule compliant with ISO13485
  • You will support the Tool Room Manager and daily production team as required
  • You will follow the requirements of the quality system and inform the Quality team in regards to any quality related issues
  • You would maintain systems to ensure compliance to ISO 9001, 13485 and IVD regulations including good documentation practices
