JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tool Room Specialist to support our parts department and warehouse operations. This role ensures timely and accurate parts quoting, maintains inventory levels, assists field technicians, and supports shipping and receiving logistics while upholding safety and organizational standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with industrial machinery components (motors, sensors, wiring).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage inventory and documentation accurately.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
Responsibilities

Parts Department:

  • Provide timely and accurate quoting of replacement parts to customers, ensuring clear communication and proper documentation.
  • Create and process purchase orders (POs) for parts, ensuring availability aligns with service timelines.
  • Maintain inventory stock levels, perform cycle counts, and update inventory systems.
  • Monitor and replenish parts kits for field service technicians to support remote service calls.
  • Track incoming and outgoing parts orders, collaborating with internal teams to meet lead time expectations.

Warehouse & General:

  • Maintain overall cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse.
  • Load and unload machinery and large shipments using forklifts and other equipment.
  • Test machines for proper functionality before shipment or after repair, documenting results.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues over the phone, assisting customers or technicians with diagnostics and basic repair guidance.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving logistics, including creating labels, managing packing lists, and communicating with carriers.
