Description POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading a core group of Technicians to support the various production departments by coordinating Tooling and Mold installation, repair, PMs, and prioritizing tooling and molds for assembly and repair; coordinating and performing tooling maintenance; coordinating with the Engineering department and any outside support required to have all tools run at 100% cavitation and efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Obtains priorities for repair and installation of Lining Tooling and Molds; Prioritizes Tooling and Mold changes, repairs, and PMs (preventative maintenance); Communicates mold changes, repairs, and PM assignments to Tooling Maintenance; Schedules Tooling and Molds for repairs; maintains files for mold repairs; Organizes lining setup and tooling sharping; Organizes the parts within the company; Orders parts; completes purchase order requests; Trains Tooling Maintenance personnel to improve their skill level and help them perform their job correctly; Performs repairs on Tooling and Molds; Assists in processing Molding Machines; Assists in troubleshoots Lining and Molding machines to identify problems; Improves cavitation of molds; Directs cap containment planning and implementation; Checks that equipment and tools are properly safe and functional; Coordinates with the Engineering department regarding tooling repair requirements that cannot be accomplished in-house; Supervisor will be required to attend overhead crane class. After certification, the supervisor will be required to train all employees who will be operating an overhead crane; Administers employee discipline; Approves payroll for direct reports; Delegates special work assignments daily. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for enforcing all Food Safety related policies and procedures; Responsible for following and enforcing all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Requirements EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a related field, good communication and interpersonal skills, computer literate, knowledge of precision tools (e.g. caliper, micrometer, CMM), electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical knowledge and aptitude, familiarity with molding machine tooling. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
