A new oportunity has become available here at Power Tool Sales
This varied role includes site visits (working alongside one of our technicians) to undertake HAV (Hand Arm Vibration), WBV (Whole Body Vibration) and Noise testing our customers’ powered hand tools. This normally takes in the region of 3 days of the week (away from our Southampton site) when required (we cover any expenses).
When not visiting one of our customers’ sites, you will be supporting our service department with both repair/service/calibration elements as well as selected admin functions (this may include liaising with customers via email) and logistics support.
It goes without saying that we will provide training as required at our Portswood site, covering all elements of the role. Having a natural aptitude towards tooling would be helpful in your development.
With the above in mind, you must be happy to spend time away during the week on a regular basis, have excellent communication skills (you’ll be in direct contact with our customer at times), have neat writing and computer knowledge (we use Excel for test systems) and arithmetic skills.
Ideally, you should have a full driving license.
The varied nature of this role will allow you to experience a broad range of elements appropriate to multiple industries and develop skills relevant to those areas.
The position fits in with our normal Monday-Friday schedule (normally 08:00 – 17:00).
We close bank holidays and Christmas .
