JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Automotive Tooling Engineer Specialist, with a focus on tool design and installation, candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of assembly tooling used in the production of automotive General Assembly systems. Candidates’ expertise will be critical in streamlining assembly processes, reducing costs, and ensuring tooling supplier accountability to functional tooling solutions for new and existing programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tooling design and installation within the automotive industry.
  • Proven experience in designing assembly tooling, jigs, fixtures, and automated equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk, AutoCAD, Teamcenter).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in automotive assembly.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Familiarity with current automotive industry standards and regulations.
