As a Tooling Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and production of large plastic components by leading tooling strategy, design input, and execution. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that injection mold tools are optimized for manufacturability, performance, and cost-effectiveness, while meeting demanding production requirements. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, as well as external toolmakers, to guide the entire tooling lifecycle—from early-stage DFM reviews through tool build, validation, and continuous improvement. This role is central to driving robust tooling solutions that support both new product introductions and long-term manufacturing success. Job Description Design, develop, and refine tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing operations Monitor and evaluate tooling performance, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce operational downtime Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) to improve processes and eliminate waste Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support new product launches and process modifications Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations for tooling-related issues, implementing effective corrective actions Ensure tooling meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards Manage the full tooling lifecycle, including maintenance, repairs, and replacements Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through innovative tooling solutions and process enhancements Maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, work instructions, and best practices Evaluate and work with tooling vendors, providing guidance on capability, quality, cost, and delivery Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in tooling design and manufacturing environments Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) Hands-on experience applying Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement strategies Knowledge of machining processes, materials, and manufacturing methods Skilled in root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys) Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills Additional Information To acquire experience in different critical industries and projects while working for the same company; To have a competitive salary and a great benefits package To access trainings that focus on expanding your knowledge while staying up to date with cutting edge technologies and best practices; To have a clear career development plan that suits your goals; To have the possibility of working abroad through our mobility program thanks to our international presence; To join a dynamic, specialized and fast-growing group where communication is key and where every team member is valued To be part of a team where having fun is essential Contract type: Full-time W2 / Sub contractor
