Tool & Die Technician – 1st Shift Location: Morgantown, PA Per our Job Posting Procedure, you may apply for any job opening if you are a full time, active team member and have been in your present job for 6 months or more, and possess the education, experience and other requirements of the open position. Team member must maintain an acceptable level of performance, including but not limited to: • not on a corrective action in the last 6 months (does not include attendance) • not on performance improvement plan for the last 6 months • acceptable level of attendance with maximum eligibility point level or equivalent of four points Additionally, all Team Members must submit the Morgan internal application form completed to Talent Acquisition with the required signatures from your supervisor and HR. The Nuts and Bolts: • Set-up and operate Lathe and Milling machines. • Perform duties in making and installing complicated fixtures • Provide design input in the creation of the fixtures • Experience in use of all types of machine tools. • Work and adhere to all safety policies within the work area and throughout the company. • Properly and safely operate required tools both power/non-power. • Understand and comprehend measurements and have the ability to apply based on instruction. • Fully understand quality policies and have minimum or zero defects per unit. • Team member actively participates and supports PPS, 5S and TPM. • Perform task within allotted RE time. • Work required schedule, including overtime, and be able / willing to travel to different plants when required • Assist with on the job training of team members. • Work with little or no supervision. • Perform other duties as required by management. Required Credentials: 1. Must pass Morgan Corporation weld testing: Stainless Steel, Flux Core, Aluminum, Galvanized and must be able to do Flame / Torch-cutting 2. Must be able to build: Fixtures. Special Reamers, Taps and Cutting Tools, Split Chucks, Cams and Milling Fixtures 3. Must be Able to read and use a tape measure, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and similar precision measuring instruments. 4. Must be able to read complex blue prints 5. Must be able to set up welding equipment including auto welder. 6. Must be able to calculate angles accurately. 7. Must be able to lift and carry material of at least 30 – 50 lbs. 8. Must be able to read and or interpret work orders and apply to task at hand. 9. Must be available to travel from time to time to support equipment install 10. High School Diploma or GED preferred. 11. Prior experience welding or equivalent schooling. 12. Possess knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. 13. Possess Morgan product/process knowledge 14. Valid Driver’s license 15. Willingness to travel on occasion You Must Be Able to: This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. The team member frequently is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 35 pounds. The team member may, at times, sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl (may be in confined spaces). The team member is expected to perform repetitive tasks using their hands, and have the ability to climb ladders and/or work in high places.
