Position Summary The tooling lathe machinist will operate industrial devices that generate tooling fixtures. Essential skills are technical knowledge, setting up, and operating a CNC machine. While maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment and supplies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The ideal candidate will be an experienced machinist with at least 3-years experience working at journey level * Bridgeport and manual lathe machining experience required. * Expertise in CNC or Profile * Working familiarity with shop planning/tooling * Experience/knowledge applicable to fixturing/tooling applications Position Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * Certification from an accredited technical college a plus * Minimum 3 years of progressive milling experience as journey level. * Aerospace industry experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required Skills * Possess basic math and geometry knowledge with elementary knowledge of engineering principals helpful * Ability to read blueprints, follow work order and verbal instructions * Knowledgeable of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
