OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Specialist to plan, organize, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for production tools. The ideal candidate will be an expert in their field, capable of training colleagues, developing new tools, and improving existing ones.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in tool maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and train others in technical tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
  • Organize, plan, and perform Level 2 and Level 3 corrective and preventive maintenance of production tools.
  • Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and distribute instructions.
  • Order spare parts using the computer system.
  • Ensure the supply of spare parts as part of a preventive maintenance plan.
  • Make necessary adjustments and upgrades to tools in compliance with tolerances.
  • Monitor tool performance during production and perform maintenance as required.
  • Record maintenance activities on log cards to ensure traceability.
  • Optimize maintenance practices to prevent failures without making major alterations to tools.
  • Tool Improvements and Modifications:
  • Perform improvement and modification work on tools in compliance with safety instructions and procedures.
  • Implement requested improvements to tools to ensure rapid assembly on the press.
  • Propose and implement technical and mechanical improvements to optimize tool performance.
  • Make or assign modifications to tools based on customer requests.
  • Handle internal modification requests as needed.
  • Work Area and Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area.
  • Receive and store tools as required.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of machines.
  • Inspect the quality of work and implement corrective actions if necessary.
  • Participate in working and progress groups to improve overall operations.
  • Tool Condition and Diagnostics:
  • Verify that tools are in good working order and meet quality standards.
  • Adhere to mold record flow and ensure tools are processed at the end of the workday.
  • Analyze and resolve technical malfunctions related to part quality.
  • Assist in diagnosing anomalies, faults, and failures in production processes.
  • Take appropriate actions to address and resolve any issues.
  • Expertise and Specialist Support:
  • Provide expertise in your specialist field to improve operational efficiency.
  • Perform ergonomic analysis and diagnose issues with tools in your area of expertise.
  • Propose and implement corrective actions for micro-failures.
  • Develop and propose improvement plans to enhance tool and production performance.
