JOB SUMMARY The Tooling Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of all Molds in the facility. This role involves Repairing Molds, Dies, jigs and fixtures, then reassembles when repaired. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures Communicate with the Manufacturing Engineers on issues with tooling. Maintain a safe working environment. Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Demonstrated ability to achieve timely results within designated constraints. Experience with Molds, Jigs and Fixtures. Knowledge of Manual and or CNC Machining. Knowledge of Fabrication and Welding. Blueprint reading and experience with GD&T. Ability Machine and Fabricate to tight tolerances. Hands-on production background, including experience working with and leading production teams, work cells, and assembly processes. Strong demonstrated communication skills. Must be able to work with a team and handle the constantly changing manufacturing requirements. Embrace teamwork. Self-starter, motivated, versatile. Problem solving skills and the ability to bring a team together to accomplish daily tasks. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The employee should have the following: High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade 1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee should possess the ability to: Must have good clarity of hearing and speech. Must have the physical ability to walk, stand and sit for periods of time. Must be able to travel by car for several hours at a time to other facilities. Must be able to periodically stoop, kneel, crouch, walk or crawl. Ability to occasionally climb, balance or knell Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out Prolong standing or in stationary position Complete repetitive movements Bend and/or twist Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds Ability to move or traverse about the facilities Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions reaching 100+ degrees Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection).
