Description We are seeking a hands-on and mechanically skilled and motivated Tooling Technician to join our team. This role is critical to our operations and will play a major part in maintaining and repairing molds essential to our production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Requirements Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on molds to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Conduct complete mold teardowns, inspections, and reassembly as needed. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems associated with molds and tooling equipment. Perform manifold repairs to support proper mold functionality. Use manual mills and lathes for machining tasks (experience is a plus). Operate and safely utilize cranes to lift and move tooling components. Always Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and company safety policies. Maintain a clean and organized tooling workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly. Develop welding skills within the first year of employment (training will be provided). Provide low-voltage electrical troubleshooting and repairs as needed (preferred). Be available for an on-call schedule for tooling related emergencies outside of normal working hours. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications are a plus. Proven mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in a maintenance or tooling role. Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Crane operation experience or willingness to learn. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of workplace safety practices, particularly in relation to LOTO procedures. Welding experience is not required but will be expected to be developed. Preferred Qualifications: Low-voltage electrical experience or knowledge. Experience in an injection molding environment is highly desirable. Work Environment: Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and using tools and equipment safely.
