Job Details Job Location: Click Bond Watertown - Watertown, CT 06795 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day The Toolmaker Apprentice is an entry level position that meets the requirements for the State and Click Bond Apprenticeship programs. The Toolmaker Apprentice has the opportunity to develop skills through hands on training and education in the designated trade as part of the Apprentice Program. They will achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity, and delivery while assuring internal and external customer satisfaction on both new and existing tools and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to commit to and participate in 3- or 4-year Apprentice Training Program depending on the program chosen. Ability to attend schooling online or in person to satisfy the needs of the apprenticeship and meet or exceed the minimum requirements for grades. Ability to attend evening classes if required. Ability to learn and retain skills and knowledge through hands on training given by mentors. Ability to consistently demonstrate proficiency in applying learned skills. Continue to grow job specific knowledge and utilize tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement. Must perform to the specified work of production, safety, quality, and productivity standards for the assigned jobs. Keep machines and work area neat, clean, and orderly. Keep all necessary records and complete all necessary forms to comply with the apprenticeship program for the State and Click Bond. Comply with all appropriate Click Bond Safety and Quality policies and procedures. Demonstrate excellent teamwork and cooperation skills and a positive attitude. Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor. Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas. Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages. Ability to operate and perform basic computer functions. Experience with Microsoft Office Products, CAD and SolidWorks is a plus. Ability to write and read English EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 2 years of vocational training preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
