Akima Facilities Operations is looking for a Tools and Parts Attendant to work in Fort Hood, TX. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! Responsibilities This attendant receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment. The Tools and Parts Attendant keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment, visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors. The attendant may coat tools with grease or other preservative, using a brush or spray gun, and may attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool. Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening. Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC. High School Diploma/GED is preferred. Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors. Desired Qualification: 2+ years’ experience in military supply procedures. U.S. Army 92-series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent. Experience with powered industrial trucks / material handling equipment. Valid Driver’s License. Commercial Driver License with Passenger Endorsement. Physical Demands: Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Pay Rate & Benefits: Hourly Compensation: $20.97.
