MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a minimum 2+ years of working experience as a Topman/Topwoman or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to provide inspections and read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and reports.
• Various shifts, project dependent, up to 12-hour days
• Willing to work evenings and weekends
• Hourly rate is dependent on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Conducting elevation shots, reading grade, and ensuring the pipe is being properly placed in the ground.
• Communicating with the Superintendent, Operators, and Crew members.
• Providing continuous inspections of pipes for cracks or deficiencies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and reports.
• Use and knowledge of various levels.
• Oversee the water and pumps within the trenches.
• Knowledge of fusion joining is considered an asset.

EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have at least 2 years of working experience as a Topman/Topwoman for various sewer and water projects or equivalent experience required.
• Must have a strong understanding of reading grade.
• Must understand surveying.
• Must be able to do elevation shots.
• Must be able to read and understand drawings.
• CSTS-09 or 2020, WHMIS 2015, Ground disturbance 201, fall protection required (may be provided upon hire with conditions).
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.
