Reporting to the Director of Total Compensation and Systems, as the Total Compensation Manager, you will be responsible for the operational aspects related to the overall compensation management at Pomerleau. Your responsibilities will include providing advice, conducting analyses, proposing innovative ideas, and ensuring follow-up on our salary structure. Additionally, you will supervise a Benefits Technician and a Senior Human Resources Officer. Your time will generally be divided as follows: 75% focused on monetary compensation management and 25% on benefits management.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Strategic Advice: Provide insightful and creative recommendations to the TCL leadership team on total compensation, aligning strategies with business objectives.
Team Leadership: Lead a trusted and engaged team, ensuring comprehensive and consistent compensation services.
Value Creation: Design and propose innovative benefits that enhance Pomerleau’s attractiveness within the industry.
Policies and Equity: Develop, update, and maintain a total compensation policy tailored to the expectations of different generations, as well as regional, sectoral, and professional realities.
HR Partnership: Offer strategic support to managers, HR partners, and Talent advisors on all compensation-related matters.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about legislative and regulatory developments in compensation across provinces to ensure compliance and support the company’s growth.
Digital Transformation: Lead the development and administration of the “Compensation” module within our HRIS, actively participating in process reengineering to optimize its deployment and use.
Analytics and Budget Monitoring: Conduct in-depth analyses and produce reports on salary increases, support internal governance in budget management, and carry out market studies.

THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or another relevant field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with total compensation systems.
  • Member of the Chartered Human Resources Professionals Order (an asset).
  • Possess strong analytical skills, be an excellent communicator, and have good persuasive abilities.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, initiative, diplomacy, rigor, and discretion.
