Description Tour Supervisor The Cemetery Tour Supervisor provides on-site leadership and operational oversight for daily cemetery tour operations. This position supervises front-line staff, including Gate Attendants, Ticket Sellers, and Tour Hosts, ensuring tours operate smoothly, safely, and in compliance with company policies and cemetery regulations. The Cemetery Tour Supervisor supports staff performance, addresses operational issues in real time, and serves as the primary escalation point for customer concerns during assigned shifts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) Staff Supervision & Support · Provide daily supervision and direction to cemetery tour staff during assigned shifts. · Serve as the primary point of contact for staffing issues, coverage needs, and operational questions. · Assist with onboarding and on-the-job training of new team members. · Monitor staff performance and provide coaching to reinforce customer service standards, safety expectations, and policy compliance. · Communicate staffing concerns, performance issues, or training needs to management. Tour Operations & Customer Service · Oversee the flow and timing of cemetery tours to ensure adherence to schedules and capacity limits. · Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, or special requests in a professional manner. · Support tour staff in maintaining a respectful, informative, and well-managed tour experience. · Coordinate with ticketing and gate staff to ensure accurate guest counts and proper access control. Operational Oversight · Ensure tour locations, gate areas, and ticketing stations are organized, professional, and operating according to company standards. · Monitor compliance with Archdiocese, cemetery, and company rules regarding access, behavior, and safety. · Communicate operational updates, maintenance issues, or supply needs to management. Safety & Compliance · Reinforce adherence to company safety policies, emergency procedures, and incident reporting protocols. · Monitor customer and staff activity to identify and address safety concerns promptly. · Ensure customer information and ticketing materials are handled securely and appropriately. · Document and report incidents, injuries, or policy violations in accordance with company procedures. Qualifications · Previous experience in tour operations, customer service, or hospitality required; supervisory experience preferred. · Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and support staff. · Ability to handle customer interactions calmly and professionally, including conflict resolution. · Familiarity with structured tour environments and crowd management. · Ability to work independently while supporting a team-based operation. · Knowledge of New Orleans history or cemetery operations preferred. Physical Requirements · Ability to stand, walk, and remain outdoors for extended periods. · Ability to navigate uneven surfaces and cemetery terrain. · Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. · Ability to work in various weather conditions.
