    We are looking for a Tourism and Business Development Coordinator to help delivery of projects, programs, initiatives and events to promote the Liverpool Plains Shire as a destination to live, work, visit and invest!
    As the Tourism and Business Development Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing, implementing and promoting a strategic economic development framework for the Liverpool Plains Shire

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring Council’s Economic Development Strategy, Destination Management Plan and Signage Strategy.
  • Planning and delivering projects, programs, initiatives and events to support the development of the Liverpool Plains Shire’s visitor economy, including destination marketing campaigns and visitor experience development.
  • Establish and maintain the Visit Liverpool Plains website and social media channels, including creating, reviewing and updating content and identifying improvements to content and accessibility.

The Liverpool Plains Shire Council is a diverse organisation employing over 120 staff across a wide variety of fields who deliver a range of services to the local government area encompassing Blackville, Caroona, Currabubula, Pine Ridge, Premer, Quirindi, Spring Ridge, Wallabadah, Werris Creek and Willow Tree and the almost 8000 residents who reside there.
The council is situated in Quirindi, the heart of the Liverpool Plains, 65km from Tamworth and about four hours North West of Sydney, famous for its stunning landscapes and rich, highly productive land and is the perfect place to call home.
