YOUR NEW ROLE This role provides inclusive leadership and day-to-day supervision of Sydney Opera House Tour Guides, supporting the delivery of high-quality, accessible tour experiences for all visitors. It oversees daily tour operations, customer service standards, and tour product delivery, while also contributing to efficient administration such as rostering, timekeeping, payroll support, and cost management. The position works collaboratively with internal teams and key stakeholders to support guided tours and promotional activities and considers operational decisions with an awareness of commercial and financial outcomes. Key Responsibilities/skills: Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day guided tours operation, including weekends and some evenings, ensuring smooth delivery and issue resolution. Lead, develop, train and performance-manage a cohesive, skilled and customer-focused team of Tour Guides. Support efficient rostering, ticketing and administrative processes in collaboration with internal teams to ensure cost-effective operations. Champion exceptional customer experiences across all tour touchpoints, addressing concerns and maintaining high service standards. Support the introduction and delivery of new tour products and services, engaging guides through change. Contribute to strategic planning to ensure tourism operations align with organisational goals and financial sustainability. Maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors in line with WHS/OH&S requirements. Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, working independently when required.
