Responsibilities
  • The Suicide Prevention Outreach team (SPOT), consisting of clinicians and peer workers, are an after-hours mobile team who provide afterhours care and follow-up to people who are experiencing or recovering from suicidal distress.
  • The SPOT clinicians will work alongside peer workers to provide recovery-oriented support for people who are in crisis. Support may include crisis response, assertive follow up, psychosocial support, safety planning, recovery/wellness planning, individual peer support, advocacy, and collaborative identification of community supports.
  • The position will provide support to Broken Hill and surrounding communities of the Far West LHD, primarily via face to face and telehealth communications.
