Job Description
Currently, this position is located in our project office in Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits. Once the project is fully operational, it will transition to a 14/7 roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.
The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Tower Supervisor to share their expertise within our growing Transmission Lines team. You will be responsible for overseeing a scope of activities related to the structural assembly and erection of transmission tower structures for this high-voltage transmission line project.
This role ensures that construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company policies. The Senior Tower Supervisor will lead a team of tower erectors, riggers, and subcontractors, ensuring that all work is completed on time and

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the structural assembly and erection of transmission towers, ensuring compliance with engineering designs, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage site activities related to tower construction, including material delivery, resource allocation, and equipment usage.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to legislative, company, and project-specific safety regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess quality, identify potential hazards, and address construction challenges.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of construction phases.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on leadership to crews, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor progress and report any delays, risks, or deviations from the project plan to management.
  • Train and mentor junior supervisors and field personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, progress records, and incident reports.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
  • Resolve site issues, including weather delays, technical challenges, and workforce management concerns.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transmission line construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • HRWL in Dogging, Rigging
  • Experience Supervising cranes and lifting operations
  • Tower climbing and rescue qualification
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality control procedures in the transmission sector.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Working at Heights qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of tower erection techniques, rigging, and high-voltage transmission line construction.
