Are you a skilled and ambitious Town Planner looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting for a Town Planner to a dynamic and forward-thinking team in Chester. This role offers the chance to work on diverse and exciting projects while contributing to meaningful developments across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritise your own caseload, delivering high-quality work to meet client expectations.
  • Prepare initial site reviews and develop site-specific strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, including drafting detailed reports.
  • Provide bespoke advice to clients, ensuring their objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals, including architects, landscape consultants, and ecological experts.
  • Engage positively with Planning Officers, Councillors, statutory bodies, and the public.
  • Lead project meetings and negotiate to secure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with and support team members, sharing workloads and working on joint projects.
  • Manage budgets, time recording, and invoicing to ensure efficient project delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in town planning, ideally within the private sector.
  • Strong knowledge of planning legislation and the ability to provide expert advice.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
