A well-established, design-led planning and architectural studio near Ashford is seeking talented and motivated Town Planners at all levels - from recent graduates to experienced associate planners.
You’ll work on a broad mix of projects including bespoke rural homes, residential developments, heritage sites, and complex planning applications throughout Kent and beyond. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team that values creativity, technical excellence, and a personalised approach to planning.
Key Responsibilities

Depending on your level of experience, your role will involve:

  • Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
  • Conducting site appraisals, policy research, and feasibility assessments
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and local planning authorities
  • Supporting or leading on Local Plan representations, pre-application advice, and stakeholder engagement
  • Working closely with the in-house technical design team on a wide variety of projects

About You

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related subject (RTPI-accredited preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of UK planning policy and development control
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable due to site-based work

Applicants for Associate-level roles should have:

  • Several years’ experience in planning consultancy or local authority
  • Strong project leadership and client management skills
  • RTPI membership or eligibility for chartership
