About the role As a Café Kitchen Hand, your main responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness of all catering-related equipment and flatware, assist with food preparation, food deliveries, daily café operations whilst adhering to all food safety regulations in line with OHS legislation and TSA policies. How You Will Make an Impact To thrive in this role you will: Ensure compliance and complete assigned daily tasks adhering to established standards, procedures and timelines for efficient operation of both kitchen and dining areas Promptly report any damages, maintenance issues or inconsistencies within the premises Store prepared food appropriately to prevent contamination and maintain food safety standards. Support and guide volunteers in the day-to-day operations of the café Act and establish stakeholder connections in a respectful way that enhances the reputation of the TQ Café and the brand of The Salvation Army Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive team Perform additional duties, where requested, to support overall service delivery What You Will Bring: Certificate level qualification in food hygiene/handling Previous kitchen-hand experience is essential Current Qld Driver’s Licence Ability to work within a team or independently What we offer: The Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.
