You’ll make a direct impact by ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of track maintenance operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Track Maintenance personnel, contractors, and safety compliance teams), formulate work schedules to support maintenance activities, and evaluate and train personnel to maintain technical and safety standards—and much more.”

We’ll look to you for:

  • Overseeing all work activities of Track Production personnel.,
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and safe work practices.,
  • Verifying that completed work meets acceptable safety and quality control standards.,
  • Evaluating and training Track Maintenance personnel to maintain technical and safety knowledge.,
  • Managing preventive maintenance and repair activities for special track work and switch machines.,
  • Monitoring and improving work processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.,
  • Promoting a culture of safety, resilience, and continuous improvement.,
  • Collaborating with contractors to ensure timely and quality work completion.,
  • Maintaining a high level of concern for quality and accuracy in all tasks.”

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent. ,
  • Experience or understanding of overseeing preventive maintenance and repair of mainline and yard tracks, switch machines, tunnels, structures, reaction rail, power rail, drainage, walkways, and fencing. ,
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, safe work practices, and quality control standards. ,
  • Familiarity with formulating work schedules and managing track maintenance personnel and contractors. ,
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Applications. ,
  • Analytical thinking to evaluate and train personnel, ensuring technical and safety knowledge. ,
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. ,
  • Concern for quality and accuracy in all aspects of work. ,
  • Leadership and team management skills to guide and support the Track Maintenance team. ,
  • Adaptability and resilience to handle dynamic work environments and challenges
